I see abstract art as a mechanical way of expressing the subconscious. When I make abstract paintings, I try to clear my head and let my hand lead. By using this process, all of my abstract work looks incredibly diverse, since it draws directly from the emotions I'm feeling at the time of creation. For this project, I added two new works to my "Blue" series of abstract oil paintings. These two are a departure from previous works due to creating them in a makeshift home studio instead of at the university's studio. Creating at home has it's own challenges, but I am excited to be able to continue to work.

The two new paintings are photographed on my home easel. For reference, I have also included some previous works in the Blue series, since this is an ongoing set of abstract paintings meant to play off one another.
