I am investigating my standing in the world and who I am as a person, focusing on the way that my childhood has affected me as I grow older. I want to use my art as a way to strike a balance between being a responsive adult and maintaining the innocence and carefree spirit of childhood. My work consists of characters I have developed as an adult combined with my recollections of whimsical childhood imaginings. I use my characters both as a fun way to express myself, and a way to work out issues, feelings, and memories from my life.

I try not to limit myself to one medium, but rather to play and experiment with several different kinds of making at once. I believe that this helps to revert back to the childlike curiosity that has always fueled me.  Overall, my work is meant to push my imagination and creativity in a whimsical way that refers to and plays off of my childhood memories of making art.
